Thanks Elaine and Joanne! I agree, humility, and the understanding of human limitations, can safe guard against innumerable errors! I write for Christ to the World, and at first, this really intimidated me, but then I realized God had given me a built-in safety net with my editor and the other Christians who all work together to produce the dramas and other material. That was very comforting to me, to know that yeah, I'm probably gonna mess up once in a while, but when I do, my brilliant and devoted editor will catch it. But it does reafirm my belief in staying united with other believers!

Nan, what a beautiful comment! I agree, handling God's Word is the most intimidating activity one will ever encounter! Blessings to you for your tenderness to God and His will! I will have to peruse your site. It sounds like your writing would be of great benefit to me!

Jennifer, This was excellent. You tackled some tough issues with assertiveness - well done.

You addressed things that I deal with daily as I write Morning Glory daily devotions. I feel so responsible before the Lord to not misrepresent Him. A couple of years ago I read Marlene Bagnull's book "Write His Answer: A Bible Study for Christian Writers." In her book she taught me to "write His answer." Sounds simple enough, but what she was saying was stop and listen as you write. Listen for His wisdom and insight and directives. I practice this daily.

It's funny (odd) how I feel when I have to address the hard stuff - the stuff made of sin. I don't like to write about that, but there are days that the Lord calls me to it. I find myself apologizing to my readers and then I feel bad that I apologized! "Oh, wretched woman that I am!!" :^) But it is so true. I enjoy God's love a lot more than I enjoy His wrath. Most of us do. But I have come to realize that to understand our sin is to understand His holiness and THAT is a remarkable thing. The holiness of God is beautiful.

Please, if ever you find me slipping, let me know. I would never want to lead my readers astray.

Bless you my new friend,
Nan Jones

Well written words of wisdom. HUMILITY is the keyword here. Staying in fellowship. Confessing pride. Not trying to think we can understand everything about God. I am seeing the same struggles among Christians that I know—even "mature" ones. It just reminds me of Paul talking about running the race—it is not a short sprint but a long haul of staying close to Jesus, His Word and fellowship with other believers. Hebrews 12:1 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
